Delivery Information 

Here at The Basket People our company policy is to be as honest and transparent with our customers as possible.

There is no such thing as a "free lunch" and there is no such thing as "free freight" either. We do not buffer our margins to incorporate shipping costs. Our couriers charge us regardless of around the corner or to another corner of Australia. As with all freight companies be that Australia Post or our local couriers it is dependant on destination and weight.

We have however negotiated the best rates we can for safe and prompt delivery of your gifts.

The Basket People make each and every hamper or gift fresh to order. Please consider this in the madness of Christmas and Easter.

 

Freight amount is calculated on destination per basket - usually between $9.00 and $35.50 (for remote areas of Australia), and very heavy gifts. Quantity orders will receive a discount which we will notify you of via email if applicable. Gifts are shipped on the day of order (with the exception of the Christmas rush) for same day delivery to Sydney and surrounding major areas (depending on time of order), most eastern seaboard areas are next day delivery. The Basket People only use quality couriers delivering door to door, including Australia Post. All hampers are insured for your protection. We recommend a work delivery address for the recipient as most people are not home during the day to receive their gift. If the recipient is not home and the courier feels that it is not safe to leave the gift, you may incur an additional fee for another delivery.  

 If you believe your Gift has been damaged in transit, please return it in the condition it arrived in to The Basket People at PO Box 1526 Baulkham Hills NSW 1755. We will not accept photos as proof of damage. You have 7 (seven) days in which to return any damaged hampers to us. Once your hamper has been returned a full refund will be credited to your account.

 Due to the size of Australia and the difficulty in delivering to certain areas, please allow the following times for delivery:

New South Wales (NSW): Sydney: Same day if ordered before 10.00AM (Sydney time) Country: 1-2 working days 

Victoria (Vic): Melbourne: 1-2 working days. Country: 2-3 working days

 South Australia (SA): Adelaide: 1-2 working days. Country: 2-5 working days.

 Queensland (Qld): Brisbane, Gold Coast: 1-2 working days. Country: 2-5 working days

Tasmania (TAS):  5-7 working days

 Western Australia (WA): Perth: 5-7 working days. Country WA 7-10 working days 

Northern Territory (NT): 7-10 working days

 

 Returns

 

Sometimes you may choose incorrectly or just decide you do not like or want the gift you ordered.

 

 Let us know via email at sales@thebasketpeople.com.au and you may return the entire gift for refund or replacement within 10 days of the shipment date. You will be issued a Return Number as a form of tracking this shipment. 

 

Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

 

 When you return an item please indicate the reason for the return.

 

 You may want to insure your return, we cannot be responsible for lost or misdirected returns.

 

 If you paid for your order by credit card, a credit will be issued and will appear on your billing statement. Just repack the gift in its original packaging, or as close as possible. For your security, please return your gift with Australia Post and retain your receipt.  

 

The Basket People are not responsible for items damaged or lost in transit.
